In early June Bettyanne McFarland (Flock 465, Durraween Downs, NSW) returned from a bucket list trip to Antarctica. The group travelled back to South America via the Falkland Islands where a local farmer came aboard to give a lecture to the passengers.
Imagine Bettyanne’s surprise when they were introduced to owner of Dunbar Farms, Marie Paul who run 3000 Polwarths!!
Bettyanne, who has been breeding Polwarths for decades could hardly believe she had travelled half way around the world to hear about Polwarths when they are now practically unknown in NSW.
Thanks Bettyanne—it’s wonderful to see our beloved Polwarths thriving in other parts of the world.
